Small Change

What did you learn in school today(dear little boy of mine)? Just random childhood memories; snatches of verse from here and there.
Ok, I seem to be on a 60s' jag. The streams of the mountains please me more than the sea.
Little Boxes: then...and now. Aren't you glad that some things never change...very much? Sue me.

Recursive Iteration...Again

Our pal , Narc Marksman, sends in a lot of cool ideas, pleasant thoughts, and suggestions on how to be a real human being in this most modern of worlds . His latest contribution is a gem of a tale intended to entertain and enlighten. Here is the full version of "Story from North America" (2007) by Garrett Davis and Kirsten Lepore. So don't step on a spider( there's life insider') folks.

Hey hipsters, remember Lulu? No? A little fuzzy? Well, at any rate...she's back in town . Think Go-Go boots will ever come back?

So, by now I think we all should be familiar of the phenomena of the mail order bride, but were you aware that husbands are also post expressable? Me neither. And for those that need a little time to consider a relationship, some lovelorn beauties have plenty of that to offer.

Oh me, Oh my.

Etc....Etc....etc...

By popular demand: For a little added fun, here's a silly bit of DLR obnoxiousness as well as the unadulterated "real thing". So what's a spandex-clad boy to do when he's "Hot for Teacher" and "Jamies Cryin'"? Simple, just "Jump" and "Dance the Night Away".

In One Ear

Hillary Rodham Clinton arrived at the State Department today for her first day of work. Foggy Bottom was ecstatic. It looks like things are off to a good start.
Dang, I feel like waving a flag today.

Lights out! People are doing some pretty amazing things with projections these days. Slide shows sure have come a long way.

Have you ever wondered how credit rates are determined? Have you ever felt that the ones offered to you are too high? Ever think that there ought to be laws against usurious practices? Well it turns out that most states limit the rates that credit companies can charge for their services. Great, yeah? Yeah, well, find out how corporations are able to sidestep your states protections with...Bizarre Credit Loopholes .

Just for fun: Our dear friend Pablo Alto from the wet and wild great northwest sends us a calming link for those times when we need a little meditative diversion with David Lee Roths , "Runnin' With the Devil" soundboard. AAAAaaAAaaahhhhYaaaah! Have fun.

Colors From the Skies

"I sat upon the mountain-side and watched A tiny barque that skimmed across the lake, Drifting, like human destiny upon A world of hidden peril; then she sailed From out my ken, and mingled with the blue Of skies unfathomed, while the great round sun Weakened towards the waves."
--A Lute of Jade by Cranmer-Byng, L.

Ok, it' the REAL new year! This is where we say buh-bye to the old and welcome the new.
I am seldom motivated to rise earlier than I need to, but today I NEED to! Today is an historic one and I want to experience it in real time, not re-runs. Today my friends, to paraphrase the lyrics of the great Gil Scott-Heron, "the revolution will be LIVE"...uhm...and televised. Happy NEW new year brothers and sisters and peace and love to all.
